As you are probably aware, ongoing high demand for wood products coupled with tight supply are relentlessly driving wood prices upward. Since the beginning of 2021, the raw material supply costs of Cherry and Hard Maple, for example, have each increased over 40% and are still climbing.
These price increases have already been incurred by the manufacturer. It is thus now necessary to bring cabinet prices in synch with the material price increases. Effective on July 19, prices on most of our products will increase. The percent increase will not be as high as the 40% mentioned above, but they will be significant.
We encourage those who want to beat the price increase to get orders in well ahead of the July 16 deadline. We fear that a surge at the deadline may cause production delays on orders that are submitted at the last minute.
We are still experiencing delays in the overall product shipment time frame as a result of continuing high-demand, staff shortages and supply chain issues. We have mostly caught up on our backlog, so we expect that we will be able to give a consistently accurate shipping date for any order that is placed. At this time, the lead time for non-expedited orders can range from 6 to 12 weeks, depending on the products being ordered. Over the next few months, we are hoping to return to the more "normal" 3-4 week lead times.
We appreciate the patience of our customers as we work through these issues caused by myriad factors outside our control.
